After an arduous couple of years trying to find a suitable contractor for an ADU project, we were lucky enough to come across Joel from Pinedo Construction. Immediately, we knew that Joel was our guy based on his trustworthy personality and most importantly, his pricing. All of the contractors that we had met with prior to Joel seemed to have outrageous prices that were far beyond our budget but Joel was very reasonable and broke down exactly where each penny would go. Our project began in the summer of 2021, which was just about the time everyone on planet earth was undergoing similar home renovation projects, thanks to the pandemic. Because of the immense demand for materials and long wait times from the city (permits, inspections, etc.), our project did take longer than originally anticipated, but to no fault of Joel’s. From day one, Joel and his brother Nick worked tirelessly to make our renovation come to life. They took care of all of the demo, framing, painting, tiling, flooring, and much more. Joel even went above and beyond to come with us to floor and tile stores on a couple occasions to help us pick out flooring and kitchen/bath tile. Something we really appreciate from him was the total creative control that he gave us. From the door knobs to the light fixtures and everything in between, he never once assumed that we wanted a particular kind of fixture or finish.
